How to follow up with leads that went quiet
To follow up with a lead that went quiet, send a short personal message that names what they asked about, asks one easy question they can answer in a word, and makes it fine to say no. Send it from a real person's address, and stop after two or three tries.
Name what they wanted
A message that says what the person asked about shows you remember them. A generic check-in does not.
Ask one easy question
Still looking, or sorted? is easier to answer than a paragraph. A reply of no is useful too: you can stop following up.
Respect the opt-out
Every follow-up should make it easy to stop hearing from you, and anyone who asks to stop should never be contacted again.
Quick answers
How many follow-ups is too many?
Two or three spaced over a few weeks is plenty for a lead who has gone quiet.
Can I text old leads?
Only those who agreed to receive texts from you. Email is the safe default.
